This black wired basket goes on a table for a outdoor wedding.  The arch for the wedding is in black rod iron, so the bride wanted this basket to match.  I thought it might be easier to explain this bouquet with a photo of the finished basket and one graphic photo explaining the principals.

1 - Stem Hydrangea (Cut and wire into 8 pieces)

The picture will help explain how to achieve the look below.  We glued and wired the foam into the wire basket.  Spanish moss is used to fill in around the foam and we inserted leaves at the top edge of foam to begin the arrangement.

This brides wedding colors were red, yellow and lavender.  Since red will overtake a bouquet if you use too much, we just used it to blend threw the middle.  I began by inserting the outer flowers.  This established the size of bouquet.  From there, I worked my way into the middle, cutting the stems shorter with each placement.  Also, you will notice that some flowers are placed down into the bouquet, to draw your eyes into the arrangement. The flowers are also kept below the black handle.  

If I were to turn the camera up and take a picture of the top of this bouquet, it would look like a swag that could be hung on the wall.  Very same principal.

I had concerns with this bouquet placed on a table outside in Oklahoma wind, but the design and type of basket could easily tip over or be placed on it's side and still look great.
