Plants and Your Cats

Have a cat that won't leave the indoor plants alone?  Chicken Wire.  There are many products to keep cats from outdoor plants but you are very limited with indoor plants.  If you take chicken wire, spray black to blend with dirt, then cut to fit around the base of plant, this will probably do the trick.
Cats hate wire.
  
Added ideas would be tin foil or orange peels.

Pet stores sell sprays that taste bad to cats (and dogs). They are usually bitter. I have cats and I've used lemon juice (cats hate lemons!) and cayenne pepper mixed with some water sprayed on the leaves. I had one cat that was a relentless plant and fresh flower muncher, and the only thing that worked with him was to lock up the flowers or good plants in a room when I wasn't around to supervise. Incidentally, Poinsettias are truly not poisonous, as my plant muncher ate a good portion of my poins. at Christmas time and lived to tell about it!

Something you might also keep in mind. If you know a customer has cats, stear them away from limonium, baby's breath and tree fern because cats especially love these!
