Fresh Cut Iris

Dutch irises come mainly in white, blue/purple or yellow.  They are available year round in USA.  These flowers have a very short vase life.  Three to six days.  Since iris' are cut before opening and shipping can cause dehydration and water stress, they need to be cut and dipped in hydration solution like "Quick Dip" before placing in water with flower food.  Store at 34-38F

These flowers work great as line flowers and also their shape makes them useful as form flowers.

You will not want to place iris into containers with daffodils since daffodils emit milky substance which shortens iris vase life.
